My fico score is 528. How long would it take to raise my score by 100? I alraedy pay bills on time but it seems like my score only raised by 10 points in one year!

  1. you can always dispute anything negative on your credit report like old entries.  Most of the time they will delete them if the company who is reporting it doesn't respond.  You can always start there and make sure you have less than 1/2 charged on your credit cards even if you pay them on time anything over the 1/2 mark looks bad.


  2. Go to myfico.com and study the site, because it is they that set the score

  3. If you are at 528 there is some negative things happening to your credit reports.  Until you correct it, you will never come close to 100 point increase.

    Go to the link Miles posted and study it carefully.  In order to fix your score you need to first understand how it's put together.

    Them go to http://www.creditinfocenter.com and look over their free information on credit repair.

    Once you have "repaired" your credit, work on the other end by doing things to improve it.   Get a small installment loan from the bank, maybe another credit card.  Pay your debts and keep your balances low.
