My finch has bumblefoot is there a cure for it?

My bird has bumble foot and I don't know of any cure for it without taking him to the vet. Is there a cure?

Bumblefoot is an infection of the bottom of the feet associated with poor nutrition, lack of activity, and obesity. Symptoms include inflammation and redness on the bottom of the foot. Scabs may also develop, resulting in lameness. You can prevent this infection by using perches with uneven and bumpy textures (such as concrete and natural branches) and disinfecting them regularly.
