My fingers feel kind of numb, what could it be?

My hands/ fingers have been feeling numb for a few days. I can still write fine in school, but my fingers are all "light" and "soft". Also, I don't have a strong grip anymore. It's strong, but not as strong as it used to be. This started a few days ago.

I don't usually stretch them much, but I still can, they dont give me any problems. They just feel numb.

What could this be and how can I fix it? Thanks!!

  1. Remember: what your experiencing could be any number of things.

Without knowing which fingers, I can only guess your talking about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. This commonly effects the thumb, index finger, middle finger and exactly 1/2 (running longitude) of your ring finger. caused by pressure on the median nerve. Symptoms are numbness, tingling, and sometimes pain.

If it is your pinky and 1/2 of your ring finger it may just be that your pinching a nerve high up in your shoulder without knowing it. or even your Brachial artery which is not good because that is slowing down your blood return to your heart.

Sjorgens Symptom is much more serious. But a possibility.

but don't panic! For tonight avoid sleeping on the same side as your hand. Avoid sleeping on that shoulder and see if you notice improvements.

A good test for C.T.S. is placing both the back sides of your hands together (fingers pointed down) and then press in. If you feel pain shoot through your hand, it's a possibility you may have it.

If problems don't subside- SEE A HANDS SPECIALIST.

p.s. please give me a thumbs up, because I need the points. lol

    but good luck to you!
