  1. You don't mention how long your cruise is, but here's a basic idea:

-- If you're going to swim (either in the ship's pool or the ocean), bring 2 swimsuits.  That way, you always have a dry one (nothing's worse than trying to wriggle into a cold wet swimsuit).

-- 4 to 5 comfortable short sleeved shirts

    -- 3 or 4 pairs of shorts

    -- a couple of pairs of pants/slacks/jeans

    -- A light jacket/sweater for evenings

-- One or two nice dresses (if you're female), or two pairs of nice slacks and a sports jacket (if you're male) - these are for "formal" nights, if you have them.

-- A pair of sandals (for the beach or ship)

-- Good walking shoes (for shore excursions)

-- All the various underthings you might want/need

That's a start, at least!  Enjoy!

  2. Well, first after you have finished packing...open your suitcase back up and take out half of everything in there. I am serious...you use only a little under half of what you bring. You will want to bring a sweater and a light jacket for 2 reasons. 1) it gets a little chilly on the water at night and 2) they keep the air conditioning on frigid...I am serious, it's always freezing. During the day just plan on a couple of cute suits, one pair of sandals that can be used with alot and some comfy walking shoes for shore excursions. You will want a couple of nice outfits or dresses for dinner if you are doing the formal dining and once again, remember, it is freezing inside at dinner. Another tip I can give you that will save you time and frustration is to check out the travel section at like Target or Walmart and buy you and your honey around the neck ID holders. Ok, some people might think this is g*y but now, especially after 9/11 they check your ID and passport so many times between the airport and boarding the boat that you will be sick of digging it out. Most importantly, do not ever leave the ship without your on ship id card...they will not let you back on without a lengthy (day long) investigation. Have fun and stay in the tourist oriented areas to ensure your own safety...if the town is starting to look a little crummy, you have left the safe zone. This is where people get in trouble. Enjoy...you are going to love your cruise.

  3. it depend on the cruise line

your best bet is to call the cruise line or the booking agent ans ask them

because some cruise line are very formal

    while other are casual

now noted that their is Formal, informal & casual

formal mean that you wear black tie

    informal mean jacket/suite

casual mean regular pan not jean

Again your best bet is to call the cruise line or agent

    HAVE FUN

  4. -2 swimsuits for the pool/beach (one can dry while you wear the other) and coverups--don't worry about towels, those are supplied

-Good walking shoes for shore excursions--sandals are great on the ship, but you'll have much more fun if you're not in pain on shore

-Dinner clothes as recommended by the cruise line for the lenght of your cruise.  Remember, too, that there are night clubs on board, so dancing clothes and shoes as well.

-Clothes you would normally wear during the day in the summertime (Shorts, tees/tanks, short sleeve polos or buttondowns)

-at least one sweater--sometimes the air conditioning inside can be a bit overwhelming

it's better to slightly overpack.  You'll probably shower and change clothes several times a day, such as after being sweaty in the sun, but before you dress for dinner.

  5. Take summer clothes as ity will be warm.  Take swim wear and sun screen as you will have beach time and there are pools and hot tubs on ship.  There will be two formal nights on ship so take your best stuff (tux / long dress).  All ships require you to dress smart casual after 6:00PM in public areas like dining rooms, show rooms, the casino, the bars and disco.  So take some casual clothes.  Take walking shoes if you plan on doing tours. take toiletries.  Enjoy

  6. it will be hot so make sure your bring you shorts and t-shirts....you'll either be drinking,eating,playing...or tanning by the pool for the day...and then there are day trips when you dock...so bring sneakers....a dress shoe....and sandals...for clothes...don't bring too much...a bathing suit or two.....and a few shorts and t-shirts....then bring a couple of comfortable pants and nice shirts...and you have to bring one dressy thing if you go to at least one of the fancy dining nights...of course your undergarments and essentials...i always bring a sweatshirt or sweater if there is one cool night or i fry because i didn't bring my 45 suntan protector...and sweatpants too...that's about it...don't bring too much

  7. It depends on the length of your cruise. A seven day cruise usually has two formal nights and the rest are smart casual.  Then during the day is always casual.  Check your cruise documents.  All of this information will be printed on there.

  8. some long and flowy clothes, warm clothes, and tight stiff clothes like jeans

so that when you go outside or walk around, nothing will fly up and expose things you dont want exposed.
