  1. it takes time

  2. its just cuz ur the new person

    just need to fit in

  3. I work at a pizza restaurant as well as harvard as a teacher and yes it gets better. Just keep working there and smile and act like you know what your doing.

  4. i've never worked at tim hortons because i dont know what that is..but i do work at a restaurant. you get used to it the better you get and the more you know. i'd say stay there a little while longer like 2 weeks and if it just gets worse then maybe a restaurant isn't for you.

  5. Well you have to make it fun. Remember it pays the bills...

  6. yes you will. just relax and if it doesn't get well, just quit

  7. ya you will just give it awhile you just have to get use to the schedule and the people there. You will get used to it and maybe even start to have fun

  8. Try to start your own internet business over the internet! You can basically be your own boss and make a good income at the same time! I wish the best of luck for you! I know how stress can be!

  9. yea and ull get better too

  10. Pick a career that you enjoy.

If you are gonna stick to the job then you will eventually get used to your job and it will be more enjoyable.

  11. Oh, I feel so sorry for you.  I've never worked at a Tim Horton's but I've definitely been in your shoes.  I started working at a fast paced chain restaurant and was in over my head the first two weeks.  I had to memorize tables, seats, and most of all the menu.  Customers were also frustrated with me that I wasn't as good as "the waitress they were used to".  It seemed so overwhelming but I got to know a couple of the girls that worked there and they helped me. Before I knew it, I was up to the pace of everyone else and you can do it too.  Don't give up too soon!  Good luck!

  12. My brother got a job at a McDonald's and he says it's the same way.

It's been a couple of weeks now and he's stabilized.

Try looking at only the good points of the job.  Like, my brother says the good point of his job is that he's only assigned to do one thing at a time.  Like, making the sandwiches or cashiering.

If after a few weeks to a month, you really can't stand it and the stress is just really getting to you, maybe you're not meant to be working with food.  Try getting a job where there's no food involved like Target or any other store without food.

I had a similar experience with a sandwhich shop and I was going to be the assistant manager.

I eventually quit and went back to my old job in a bag shop and realized that food jobs just aren't for me.

I also worked at a Target before and I gotta tell you, it's a lot better than food jobs in my opinion.  Although I do prefer independent jobs where I manage a small shop (without food of course).  It's so much nicer when you don't have someone breathing down your neck all the time.

  13. You'll get used to it. you just started. that's how it is when you start a job. At all jobs it get stressful because you don't know everything you need to know for that store..just keep doing what your doing and if it gets worse find a job that's smaller than that store so you won't be stressed out and then you'll know where everything is!

    GOOOOOOOD LUCK! :)

  14. You are going through what typically happens when people start new jobs.  Just about everyone feels overwhelmed in the beginning. I personally think it's not fair that you are already waiting on customers only two days into the job.  People have really lost their manners.  Try not to take it personally.  Maybe just say, "please bear with me, I've only been working here a couple days. this is all new to me."  If they're still mean, then try to make that their problem not yours.  I know it can be hard not to take it personally, but if they are so short tempered, they have the real problem.  good luck.  give it a couple weeks and you'll find yourself feeling more and more at home.

  15. Ah dude, working in the food business sucks!!! When i first started waitressing, i hated it! I've been doing it for 5 years now, and I'm so used to it....i do get tired of people, you learn through experience how to deal with people and problems, and you'll soon be used to it. If you don't like it after 2 weeks, find something else. good luck

  16. Its how all jobs start, it stresses you out because you think you wont be able to handle it and remember everything.....but think...If everyone else there can figure it out, so can you.....trust me, all that stuff that seems really hard will be really easy in no time....and customers will be easier to deal with once you start getting their orders right (that wasnt a jab, just a fact)   dont worry, youll be fine.

  17. The experience will make or break you.  I do not know you or your personality so I cannot tell you the outcome.
