  1. Quite frankly my dear,

You are quite qualified to work at a summer camp with all of

that experience under your belt. You should not have a problem getting hired for that position.

You speak English, German, and working on speaking French. You have traveled to Europe, Canada and America.

Volunteer work at the animal shelter...you sound motivated, mature and very responsible for a young 15 year old.

I wish you the best..you will get the job...

  2. your resume looks good so far.  maybe take customer service courses or workshops to show that you know how to deal with different situations.  You're lifeguard and babysitting is definitely a plus for summer camps.

  3. Sounds like you are 'good to go'!

Did your lifeguard training include CPR? If not that is the only thing (besides age) you seem to need. Check with the camp counselor at the camp you plan to work at. They could tell you if there is anything else you need, and what age you have to be to actually work there.

My daughter is in a program called 'Junior Leaders'. It allows her to volunteer for the camp of her choice. In our area you must be 16 to be hired at the summer camps.

Check your local parks and recreation department for such a class in your area.

You will go far. You know what you want and are willing to work toward your goals.

You could probably teach teens your age how to get ahead in this world!!

    God Bless!

  4. volunteer with kids like teach kid's red cross club events etc. or other leadership with kids, like day camps or AYSO events.

    etc.

  5. Wow!

I have to tell you, at 15yo you already have a lot going for you.  Anyone comparing what you have already accomplished to the average 15 yo would be impressed.

About the job and a summer camp:

My top certificate would have been for you to take a first aid course (This is usually included with the lifeguard coarse) but if not, take one specific to first aid care.  If you plan to be a camp counselor as well, it wouldn't hurt to volunteer working with groups of children in advance.  For example- volunteer to help out your local Girl Scout Troop.  That way you get great ideas on games, crafts, etc.. but more importantly- you establish a relationship with the Troop Leader and maybe even some of the parents.  That way you have some great references about your work with children in the bag.

Also, it sounds like you already can get a reference from the shelter - have you been there long? - If so that is also a great reference as it shows long term responsibility and compassion.

Also, check with the camp you plan on applying too to see if they have established skills you must have in order to be hired there (You don't want to miss anything and not have enough time to get it done-right?)

Most importnatly, Don't sell yourself short- you are in a great position to get accepted for the type of job you are looking for already =c)  Start working on your Resume/Application now - that way you can keep it update, sell yourself and your amazing qualities, and also you wont be rushing to get it done at the last minute when they start accepting new applications.

    BEST OF LUCK!!!!

  6. Sounds like you are a very hard worker with a lot going for you.  I think you should research the camps you want to work at and specifically design a cover letter for each to go with your resume.  You should also line up some very good reference letters from any important people you know or any people in positions of importance, authority, your teachers.  Call the camps, find out about their hiring practices, get the names of right people there, time frame.  Remember there is and old saying that goes "The squeaky wheel gets the grease"  Good luck.
