My first nursing attachment in the hospital. What to expect and what to bring?

I'm a year 1 nursing student and on the 1st september is my nursing attachment at national university hospital of singapore. I'm really excited about it and I'm wondering what i need to bring or expect from it?. I have found out that my ward is a cancer ward.

Bring courage and fortitude and a loving heart.

Smile and be supportive of your patient.  Let them be who they are and listen to what they say.

Your instructor will tell you what you need. Perhaps a stethoscope, pens with 2 colors of ink, a pencil, notebook.
