My first time flying?

I have heard that you now have to pay to bring your luggage? is it only with checked bags or with carry ons too? And does anyone know an estimate of how much it is? I only plan on having one bag with me so if anyone could give me any advice id really appreciate it!

The weight of the carry-on bag usually cannot exceed over 50 pounds and having the dimensions of 61 inches or less. If the bag contains liquids, make sure that they are 3 oz. of each and all must be stored in one, one quart ziploc bag for security screening. The carry-on bag is free. Another bag of the same size checked costs approximately $25. Excess baggage is going to vary around $50.

on certain airlines u have to pay for checked bags beyond a certain #,  not for carry on.  call the airlines and find out
