and for answering a question asking why I wasn't in the kitchen making him dinner.. by stating that he was a troll, which he was.

Hm, seemed like he was more in the wrong than I was.. oh well.

Has anything like this happened to any of you?

  1. Oh, yeah, happens all the time.  I had a question yanked about half an hour ago, within five minutes of posting.  No answers to the question, which only asked whether the practice of reporting questions and answers for no good cause was now acceptable here.

Get used to it; there is a sizable contingent of very small people here--and in every camp except mine, 'the mildly bemused camp.'  Join me, and we'll laugh at the silly antics together.

  2. Welcome to the club of troll fighters. They don't always slither back under their bridges willingly.

  3. well said Tracy, and you should know.

As you are a MA|N masquerading as a woman, with the sole purpose of trolling and making feminism look stupid with asinine comments

Good GOD. Don't they have enough trouble, without you doing all of this to discredit them!!

  4. Soon you will get to know who the trolls are and avoid their questions. Its kinda funny, they almost start having online temper tantrums when no one is playing with them....

  5. You've become successful here then.

Violations happen pretty frequently for me on questions I ask, not quite as much on my answers.  The answers I get violation notices for usually are for troll questions though.

Max- I was level 4 before I got my first.  I think I set the all-time record.  I get them fairly often now though.

I'm thinking about blocking one user on here who I think is reporting me.  I've noticed that any time she answers one of my questions and doesn't like what I've said, the question gets pulled.  Coincidence?  Maybe, but I doubt it.  That doesn't explain all the violations I get in NASCAR though, but that's another story.

I guess I've finally pissed some people off.  I've been getting a lot more thumbs down lately.  Yay!

  6. You mean you got to level 3, before finally getting a violation?.

I didn't think that was possible.

EDIT: In the 5 minutes since I first responded, I got another violation notice. LOL

  7. Congratulations, you're one of us now.

  8. Yes.  There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to getting violated.  Often it appears both misogynists and misandrists act in teams reporting others.

  9. DARLING, I am the queen of getting violations. I get them for perfectly good questions.

  10. All the time.  They hate it when we poke fun at them.

Laugh and move on.  You've been initiated.  Congratulations!

  11. Yep! All because I answered a guy telling him that question he'd ask has already been asked previously (three time before him as a matter a fact).

I will admit, I have gotten a little rude with people while in here, and it's inexcusable (and I apologize). But that was completely ridiculous.

  12. Sure, loads of times; it doesn't stop me though.

  13. Absolutely, happens to me too, and I always.write a letter of complaint when I receive a violation

I just finished writing my answer to the violation I was sent from Yahoo.l.. I answered a QUESTION? that was not a question

And thus I asked a Question and thus they stated I did not answer a question instead  but I replied with  QUESTION?asking that person to cite his references for the remarks he made? Thus I wrote back..

I outlined my position and now awaiting reply.

  14. haha nice one, pops the virtual champagne :-D

I have lost two accounts for insulting cross dressers, so I just avoid them now.

  15. In a realm of technicalities you've gotta pay attention to the technical side more than the moral or emotional side.

Calling someone a troll is not answering the question.  Regardless of what question that is, it's still a violation from what I've read.

Go ahead, thumbs down all you want.  It doesn't change how yahoo does things.

  16. Lol, you'll get used to it. Welcome to the band ! You're one of us now ! :-D

Yes, it has happened to me more than once. I usually tend to ignore them, and rarely do I appeal (If I think that I can justify my response as an answer), burning some of the reporter's fingers in the process.

Edit : Voice Of Reality has the correct answer indeed (and hes bagging a ton of TD's I notice), even if you don't like it. Calling someone a troll is NOT an answer. I didn't report you, but if I were you, I will suck it up and let it go.

  17. Yes.  It's a trap.  They ask a question and then report all the answers.  The trolls work together as a team, and IM each other so that enough reports will make a violation.  It is best that you just ignore the questions.  Do not feed the trolls!

  18. I got violated too, and people were rude. But it's getting better now, one person even wanted to run naked in the moonlight with me.
