Soldier men

Please fall into line

Bow your heads

And feed your time

Exempt from lust

Fear turns rush

Death not ends it

You reach to touch

Walk your way

And feed your smile

Don’t run back

To forgotten miles

Warm your nerves

Drink your rum

Weakness flees

Where courage runs

Blood drunk general

Send me to bed

I lost my funeral

You gained a head.

The message comes across to me OK, how does it read?
