  1. elementary, jr. high, and high school was cruel to me. I spent to much time worring about what others though and not what I thought.

If you can only make one person happy let it be yourself, if you can make two people happy then let that be yourself and someone who deservse it.

Ten years after high school almost everyone is the opposite of what they were in school the good looking guys are fat ugly the ugly are good looking ect ect

Find who you are and do what makes you happy. Don' t let others define who you should be.

  2. nahh i'm really nice so don't worry

u sound really nice so don't worry about anything

  3. I don't know much about stuttering, except this.... people who stutter often struggle with it more when they are stressed.  So, try not to worry so much about what the other high schoolers think and just be yourself.

I've also heard, that people who stutter often sing very well... having no problems with stuttering while they are singing.  That might be something to try your hand at, to help build your self-esteem.

  4. Definitely don't be afraid.  You will see some things that you'll never experience in middle school. Public kissing, fondling, is normal. And don't be afraid of who you are. Make yourself KNOWN as the girl who stutters, in a positive way. Kids in high school are more mature as the age goes up, so if you find it more comfortable to talk to mature people, seek out sophomores and juniors that you relate to. Lots of temptations are at high school, and its a test of who you are. Remember, stay positive.

  5. It can be at times, I'm not going to sugar coat it. There will also be times when they will make fun, because people are cruel, but then you have people who are your real friends and will be able to back you up when need be. I was over weight in high school (still am and in college). The point is you have to laugh about whatever they say about you, For me it was easy dealing with my weight because everything they said, I had something to say back and they shut up and they knew not to mess with me. I also had more friends than enemies who stood by me.

High school kids are not mature by any means. It can never be easy for the first year, but it will get better and soon you will not want it to end, by that time you'll be graduating. I suggest poetry. It is calming, and when you read it, you will find yourself and become calm. Try writing some.

  6. It is a cruel place, since it is high school students.

I know you're young and you don't see them as children,

but they are.  And children act immaturely.

I think the only thing you could do is not make it an issue.

If you show it's not a problem to you - then why would they make it a problem?  If they question it - answer them.  If they laugh, then tell them you don't appreciate it.

It's true that you show people how to treat you.

If you are quiet and are a push over, then they will do as they please.

If you can show them how to treat you then they will either abide or leave you alone.  If not, then you have harassment and you could file a report to the school administration.

When I was in high school, I had a disability on my leg.

It caused me to limp and once every while I'd have someone say something stupid.  One time in class, I was doing a speech and the teacher told me I had 5 minutes to talk.

One of the students said "He's handicapped - he should get more time" in a way where he wasn't being serious, just making fun of me.

Then I was like, "I have an A in here, what grade do you have?"

and he pretty much got so embarrassed, and he got in trouble by the teacher.  He apologized after class in humiliation.

Yeah, they can be cruel.  But confidence and self-value are key to everything in life.  Most people think "well my opinion doesn't matter" but it does.  It means EVERYTHING.

    Just keep a positive attitude.

Don't see it as a set back, but more of a "work in progress".

Because if you make it seem like it's an issue to you, then people will think it's an issue as well.

    Hope this helps (:

  7. I actually just started high school a week ago and i was worried sick about the upperclassmen. turns out though all my classes are ten times as mature as they were last year in eighth grade so i had nothing to worry about, and neither will you. high school can be the best time in your life i have been told if you let it be. (dont worry about the stutter a majority of the people are too mature to care if you stutter or not, just be nice and allis good.)
