  1. If you truly loved your fishy, then yes, you should get another one. And if you ate it, then I'd say catch more. :)

  2. NO!  Don't get one like him, he was irreplaceable.  You need a different one to switch it up a little bit, and have more variety.  Maybe get a different color or size.  I'm sure he doesn't want to be replaced with a fishy that looks just like him.

  3. I would like to know why you cant make this decision all by yourself.  It would seem you have an issue of caring what other people (who have NO idea who who are by the way) think.  Do you aske people what you should eat, or when you should talk, or how you should dress?  Seriously, this is a no brainer.  Think for yourself and quit asking people what they think you should do and just do it.  We dont care what you buy much less would even care if you did or didnt or what color it was.  We didnt know you before this question and certainly dont care to know you now after the question.

  4. Do you want another fish like him?

  5. Absolutely. I always replace my fish when they die. It's upsetting, sure, but I always want to have something in the tank because I feel worse about it when I don't. If you miss having that fish in the tank, I suggest you start fresh. Besides that, it's always fun to get a new fish!

I suggest you get a different type of fish than the last one you had. It will make things more fun and it will be easier to replace him.

    Good luck! :)

  6. gte another fish but not the same breed please dont make him feel replaced! lol! no but dont let him feel that way andsorry bout the fish rip!

  7. I don't know

  8. I feel that depends on why he died.  Did he live a full happy life of 5-7  years unless it was a goldfish then 15+ years?  If you want a fish and kept proper care of the last one, then yes fish are therapeutic and I will never be with out them.  If the novelty wears off after 2 weeks then no, you should not get another fish.

  9. yeah, but have your water tested first....  there is a reason why your fish died, and you have to figure it out before you wind up with more dead fish.

  10. I'm with Jill and others on the get a different kind thought, but that's a personal choice thing.

Unless you know what the fish died of, you will want to clean the old tank well in case of disease before getting another one. (Ok, I'm no fish expert)  I think that cleaning it with boiling water should do it (that may cause cracking if the tank isn't prepared so start with warm/hot water to prepare)  Either that, or bleach that is very well rinsed out.

    Sorry about your fish.

  11. First what kind of fish are we talking about fresh water or salt water .

How long did you have the fish ? Did you follow your pet store owner tips

or read the book on how to take care of fish ? Check with someone on the do's and don'ts about fish and fish tanks before  you buy a new  fish your best bet is to ask a  vet or pet store owner. Then when you are ready and have learned more about fish and fish tanks you can buy another mr. fishy. ok. I ask what kind or how  old and long you had it because these are questions a vet and  a pet store owner will ask you on the day you call or visit them.

  12. depends, that's not a very long life meaning most likely something went wrong. before you get a new one you need to figure out what happened and fix it so the same thing doesn't happen...

what kind of fish was it?

    what tank size?

    what water temp?

filter? if not how often did you change the water?

    any tank mates?

how much and how often did you feed it?
