I have two algae eaters and a common goldfish in a tank, the goldfish and one eater is fine but the other is just sitting on his side on the bottom. He's breathing but won't move. What's going on!?

  1. just take it out back and kill it old yeller  style

  2. Fish dont last very long and maybe its this fishes time. You have two options watch him in the alternative tank or to euthenaise him, the best way is to pt him on some tin foil fold it over and place in the freezer, he'll go to sleep and it will be over quickly.

  3. maybe he is not getting enough food, do you have any drift wood in the tank? Maybe it was do to a big water change you did. Sometimes I have read that plecos will fight depending on tank size.

  4. What kind of algae eater is it? It might be one that needs a lot of food and is starving, or it could also have a disease. If it's a Siamese Algae Eater (I think these are the ones, but I, like many other people, get these and Flying Foxes confused), it might just be dying, as they tend to do this a lot.
