he looks dead but he's not floating. I don't think he's breathing and his eyes look somewhat white. But he's not floating. Why isn't he floating if he looks dead? Could he be caught on to something. There rocks on the bottom of the tank. So could one of his fins be caught on or something? I'm just hoping he ain't dead, but he's been on the bottom of the tank like that for pretty much of the whole day. So what ya think? Is he dead?

  1. he could have just eaten before he died.

  2. it could be over feed so four a few days and only feed it very little then watch its reactions!!!!

  3. could be a couple things. check if the gills are moving. if they are hes still alive. like the other guy said, you couldve fed him too much and now hes constipated. he could have a swim bladder infection...hopefully he makes it. but ive had a number of fish die just the way you describe your fish. but ive also have one that survived really bad bloat. you could try feeding it cooked peas. i would recommend doing a water change because it could be the water quality effecting him. good luck

  4. read a fish care book or something

  5. why u kill yor fishy./?

  6. This sometimes happens if the fish is overfed, they automatically go lop sided and stop swimming, this is to stop they eating more.

    Give it a few days

  7. it may be so that his fins got caught in a rock he wasn't able to eat or swim so he died but go to google and type in what a fish looks like when its dead and if it describes your fish sorry.

  8. thats what happens when fishys go to heaven.

  10. sorry, but probably dead. try poking him with a net or scooping him out of the water, and if he doesnt move then he is dead. Not all fish float when they are dead.

  11. he's been dead for a long time. sorry young grasshopper.

but your friendly gilled friend, is a gonner.

  12. maybe if you want to make sure like pick him up with something and drop him if he dont move he dead thats what happend to me, we got school fish i took mine home and the next day it died then i had to tell my partner it died he cried so did i lol! it was on the bottom by the rocks like urs

  13. sorry. i think its dead.

  14. he could be dead y because some fishes like guppies die at the bottom of the tank . or if you have a pump maby thats y cause when you have a  pump the dont move much

  15. Sounds like a case of fungus or over feeding. Fish don't know when to stop eating because they always feel hungry. Depending on the type of fish, and the habits of that fish it also my be overstimulated. Did you change the water recently? If so he could be in shock. Some fish are called bottom feeders and like to be on the bottom of the tank. Also air flow is a big one, if you don't have an airstone in the tank it could be that the fish cannot breath.

  16. um thats real sad is he just still then he is probably gone try playing with it gently with clean hands

  17. My daughters fish did that, and he was dead, tap on the tank if he doesnt move, get the net. If he isnt dead he probably will in the next couple days.

  18. put your finger in the tank an see if he moves ( by itself)
