  1. it might be bloated but if it is heat the water a lil bit and if he dosnt do anything hes gona die

  2. I had a goldfish that would do this. It lived for well over a year. If your fish seems happy and not fretting I would just let it be.

  3. your goldfish probably wants to play.

  4. Try doing a water change.  A lot of times swim bladder issues like that are caused by poor water quality, high nitrate levels in particular.  If that doesn't work, try feeding it the inside of a pea.  That helps if the cause is constipation.  Those are the easy fixes.  If it continues, it could be from an internal bacterial or parasite infection-which would need a medicated food.  Or, genetics-nothing you can do about that one.

  5. Because some fish do.  If the bottom of the tank is lighter than the top they might do that.

It my simply be a deformed swim-bladder that makes it more comfortable to swim that way.

If the fish does not appear distressed then let it be.

  6. i had a fish that was about 5 yrs old. i would feed it plenty of food. and then it started swimming on its side and back. i would get the net and flip it but it would go back. i noticed he wasnt eating. so ii got some med from the store and also looked up wut my fish could have. i forgot wut it was called. but a couple days later he was dead... he had green on one side of him. im not sure about ur fish sense he goes back wen u walk up to him. cud be the same thing? hope i helped! god bless ur fish!

  7. It may have a swim bladder problem so it's probably best to buy a treatment for this.

  8. This means something is wrong with the fish's swim bladder. Usually this happens from the constant feeding of dry food.  If he is still willing to eat, try giving him frozen food such as blood worms or smaller types of fish-made frozen foods. It should help regulate him a bit more.

Otherwise, a lot of fish that end up upside down die. D:

    Good luck with this fellow.
