I have a gold fish that has always been a little odd...But I like him, unlike all the other fish i have that just swim around this one plays. He plays in the current the bubbles make at the top of the water and does other silly things. But he sometimes doesnt do alot and just floats around.....he has recently gone belly up....he isnt dead he just lays on the bottom of the tank on his back.....i have done the whole salt thing and he is a lil more active but still isnt back to his good old self? I have just made up a fresh batch of his salted water for him but was wondering if anyone else knows anything more? He hasnt been feed in a few days and isnt over fed. The tank isnt over cleaned nor left too long to do dirty....he is well looked after and i dont wanna lose him as he is the only gold fish i have had that plays.

  1. It's SBS (swim bladder syndrome), give your goldfish the inside of a blanched pea, he will be better in a few days.

  2. It seems as if he is about to die. There is nothing much you cann do now

  3. My goldfish did that once, and I thought that he was dying, but in a few days got back to normal. Maybe he could be sick or dying, so you should see a marine specialist, you could contact one.

  4. That doesnt sound very good :(

    How old is he?

What size tank is he in?

How many other goldfish are with him?
