hi i have a small coldfish wather in a fish tank ,they are my 5 year old daughter and apparently while i was away for 2 days they must have layed eggs and now i have hundreds of small fry in the aquarium. i moved away the parents, but i dont know anything about fish, not even what kind of fish they are. they are very small and i know they dont grow more than 1.5 inchs they are grey and have orange vertical stripes, one blue stripes the other orange. i bought them at pet house because as altough they look like tropical they were not suppose to be half the trouble!!

dont take me wrong i just always tought fish only breed if in ideal conditions aqnd now i dont know what to do.also one of the fish doesn't look very well has it is lying at the bottom of aquarium

  1. make daily 10% to 30%  water change daily, If you have any snails in the tank I would keep them away. Just watch and see I guess!

    now here is some Tips:

Do not give food to your new Born fish until they are able to consume it otherwise the food will decay and pollute the tank.

try to get  fry food comes in liquid or powdered form. The size of the particles must be such that the fish can eat it and for this information, you should consult your aquarium shop.

  2. to my knowledge, your fish may be some zebra danio.

they are nice fish and breed like crazy!
