I just cleaned it a few days ago and its already cloudy. I do have a gold fish in there and even put the drops in there to clear the water and make it safe for the fish. Could it be that the waters to hot or what? What can I do?

  1. it may be from over feeding. but some times it just happens try and see if it goes a way in a day or 2. it is not from the water being to hot for the water to be cloudy from that the fish would be cooked.

    goldfish like water at 68-74ºF

  2. It could happen because of the food get absorbed in water.

To prevent it,put less food in the tank and change 25% water in every two

    days.

  3. It's most likely that your tank is cycling. This is caused by beneficial bacteria growth that is necessary to break down the ammonia produced by your fish. Just let it alone and it should clear up in a few days.

  4. only change 25% of the water not 100%

  5. you have to filter it or change it frequently.

  6. like someone else said your tank probably is cycling and never change all the water at once. your probably just giving the fish too much food which is causing the water to become cloudy, that's what happened in my tank i gave my fish way too much food and after a while it became really dirty so i cleaned the gravel and reduced the amount of food i gave them by like 20% and the water started clearing up

  7. youre supposed to treat the water before you just add it to the tank. tap water has way too many chemicals. im guessing since its a goldfish it doesnt have a filter to the tank but if it does maybe change that

  8. well clean it again put new rocks in it fresh water clean filter put fresh plants in and buy fresh food but after you clean the tank before you put fish back in tank make sure its alive look for marks on fish you know just make sure in looks ok and looks normal don't worry if you try this it should be fine

  9. It is possible that your tank is cycling if you have just set it up recently. In this case, don't do any water changes for 2 weeks and it will clear up on it's own. If you didn't rinse the filter pad before putting it in or rinse the decorations before adding them to your tank, that will cloud the water too but should clear up in a few days.

**Only do 25% water changes once a week**

  10. Make sure you rinsed the gravel out, if not will keep happening till you do.
