I used to feed my goldfish flake food, but I switched to pellet. They won't eat it. What should I do?

  1. Go back to flake food.

In the mean time you can use green veggies and fruits until you can get more flake.

They more than likely don't realize it is food.  Some fish won't eat pellet foods at all.   Tanked goldfish really should never be fed floating pellets anyway.

Just switch the food back to flake

  2. awww dont let the lil fish die, hurry and switch back to the flake food....and my lil sis has this really weird albino frog and ikk that it eats those pellets..so0o i think that the pellets are for bigger amphibians so0o stick wit the flakes..well good luck wit all ur lil fishy troubles :D

  3. A flake is quite a bit smaller than a pellet.  Depending on the size of your goldfish, maybe the pellets are too big.

Go back to the flakes and slowly introduce a mixture of flake and pellet combination.

  4. Try crushing a bit of it for their next feeding.

But skip two feedings before you give it to them

They will be hungry by then but they wont starve from one or two days of no feeding.

Once they know what it is there should be no problems.
