My flapper stayes open to long on the toilet?

We had a problem like this in my old house, we ended up just lifting the back off and pushing the black lever back down.

It's a pain, but we never found a "permanent" solution.

im not sure but you know if you put a brick or 2 liter bottle filled with water in the toilet tank you save alot of water everytime you flush? just to let you know :]

adjust your float to the water level.  or get a new flipper.

You can make the chain longer on the flapper, usually that fixes it right way. If the problem continues you may have to get a whole new flushing system, but i really doubt it! Hope that helped you, good luck with everything!

Get new flapper and adjust chain.Flappers should be changed every 2 yrs. minimum

Get a new flapper-- a few $ and anyone can install one.
