My flash wont charge so I can't take pictures!?

Question

I have an HP Photosmart r927 and I can no longer take pictures with the flash. When you press the shutter button (to focus), it says the usual "Flash Charging"... and that remains on the screen- the flash never charges. It won't allow me to take a picture while this message is displayed- so I can only take pictures without the flash on. And it makes me pictures look like c**p. I have pretty much decided I need to take it somewhere to get it repaired. So what should I do and where should I go?
