My flat was purchased in 1972. Do I have to pay stamp duty?

I have heard that only those flat which were purchased after 1980 have to pay the stamp duty. If this is correct please let me know.

  1. No, you don't have to pay stamp duty. Your agreement will most probabaly be on a Rs. 20/- stamp paper.
