I have braces...have them for about a week. I'm flossing right, trust me,my friend who has braces even said I was. The floss won't go in between my two top front teeth...should I be worried?

  1. ask your dentist

  2. No, it shouldn't be a problem. The space between your front teeth might just be too close, so you may have to wait for the braces to space them out a little bit more. Some people I know don't floss with their braces and they're fine - although I strongly suggest flossing.

Your best bet would be to call your orthodontist's office (I know mine always encourage me to when I have problems) and ask them about it. Or you could wait until the next time you're in and ask, because they may be able to show you what, if anything, you're doing wrong.
