  1. go get plastic roses.

  2. I would check with a florist first. They would know what petals would or wouldn't be in the same family of the rose, which petals would hold up like the rose,  which would be in season at the time of the wedding, and those that are aromatic. If the florist doesn't know, a nursery may be able to help. If you find a flower you like that is not fragrant, then a fragrant garden herbs, while green, could accompany a flower petal less fragrant.

  3. Daisies, plumeria (the Hawaiian lei flower) sunflowers, carnations, you can get anything else that is fragrant as the plumeria or just go for colors.  Or get silk roses, the dollar store has them really cheap, and on the floor nobody will even notice.

Unless you're talking about all the flowers in the wedding?  Go with orchids.  Ask the florist what flower other than roses.  Lily of The Valley bouquests are so beautiful!

Actually, all my flowers were silk, roses for me, and a variety for the bridesmaids and flower girl.  No one knew the difference. I made them myself.

  4. They have some really nice fake rose petals in the stores now, but if you insist on real ones, maybe you should ask your local florist what they suggest. I am sure they know some really nice flowers that you couldn't even think of.

  5. I did silk flowers for mine and also my flower girl got to keep the basket.

  6. How about lavender buds?

Or really petals from any flowers would work right?

    Leaves are pretty also.

  7. I think lavender would be lovely, You could also make it herbal and have sprigs of rosemary, they are a symbol of fidelity.

  8. If you still want roses, I'd suggest silk flowers.  I used silk and they look just as real as real ones.  But not the "silk" from a dollar store.  You've really got to search for some good ones.

  9. If you like rose, you could choose silk rose petals or paper rose petals.

or how about delphinium petals ?

or Larkspur petals, some picutres for you ,hope can help you.

  10. what about silk roses in all different colors

  11. tulips work just as well as roses and don't stain as easily

  12. Hmmm... well I'll take a que from our flower girl and her idea, it might work for you. Since she is allergic to roses, is she allergic to any other flowers? You could go to Wal-Mart or Shaws or Hannaford and get a mixed bouquet of flowers and cut the heads off of them... you could pull apart peruvian lilies, you could get mini carnations and cut the heads off those for her to toss. Even pull the petals off of daisies maybe.

I like the lavender comment too that's what our guests are tossing...I LOVE the scent.
