My foal has a club foot?

My colt has a club foot (left hind hoof). The farrier said today he will probably need surgery. How much, on average, will this cost and is there anything I can do in the meantime to keep the other hooves healthy under the stress?

I have a very expensive thourbred a 8 months old filly, a racer by her parents, Dubia winner breaders cup winner etc. his filly has a front club foot and I am afraid to do the wrong thing, she is meant to race, PLEASE SOME ONE THAT KNOWS ADVISE ME!!
