My son told me tonight that there was water in his closet. I checked it and it was wet and it smelled like pee. I asked him if he pee'd, and he said no, that it was his water cup that leaked. However, there was no cup around. I finally told him that if he told me the truth that he wouldn't get in trouble, and he said he pee'd there after breakfast, and I asked him why, and he said that his brain told him to but that he didn't want to. So, I explained that there was carpet, padding, and a wood floor underneath, and that he could ruin it and it would smell like rotten pee. He said he wouldn't do it again. I asked him if he pee'd anywhere else, and he said no, and I checked around the room.

Tonight when I was about to go to bed, I thought I would check the closet of my baby girl, and sure enough, he pee'd in there today too. I was flabergasted! I am very concerned, because he has never done anything like this before.

He went upstairs to go potty earlier today for no reason.

  1. try and take him to a dr. office they might tell you something about whats going on

  2. Get Nature's Miracle (at the pet store).  Follow the directions closely and it will remove any odor!!  I know it is usually used for animal accidents, but it does work for human accidents too.  As for why he is doing this...... I am guessing he is looking for a way to get attention.  Good luck with this one!!

  3. it's a phase he's going through, boys go through many phases like that.
