My freezer is burning hot!

Question

I just got a stand up freezer and its awesome. But on the sides and on the top the freezer is burning hot. Is that bad or good? and why?

Hi: Make sure u have air circulating around the back and sides.. Leave some room at the back and sides n make sure the vents r not blocked..it should not be  "burning hot"..if it came on a pallet remove that also..have a good day.

My freezer always feels warm on the sides, too.  I don't know why.

it might be on defrost cycle when u felt it it should cool down to some degree (no pun intended)
