My freezer is defrosting?

Stupid piece of rubbish. Just wanted to share my pain. Guess I should have a 'freezer party' or something this weekend, to get rid of all the food before it goes off, because no one can come and fix it until Monday :-(

Its only 6 months old as well.

did you purchase a warranty when you got it? most large appliances like that come with at least a one year warranty. maybe try calling the manufacturers customer service 800 number and see if they can help advise you.  If you complain or sound really disappointed in their product they will try to make good on their product. After all no maker wants a bad reputation for unreliable appliances.

you probably got friends! go and put your stuff in their freezers, only take out what you really need and put it in the fridge. should keep for a few days.

if it comes to it, just buy fresh stuff till then.

Its a small problem really, dont throw it out, its a small switch that needs replacing, wont cost much to fix either.  I had the same problem.

is it still under guarantee? Because maybe you should phone the fridge company and ask for some kind of compensation for the food in your freezer going off!  but yeah there aint much you can do but have a huge party - its a good excuse not only to hold a party but to clear out your freezer!! good luck!
