My freezer section is working but ...?

my freezer section is working but the refrigerator section is not. the freezer is near the floor and the refrigerator part is on top. the light comes on.

Don't know what model but most have a fan that blows the cold air from the freezer to the refridg. It can usually be checked from the back.Your black condenser coils are clean aren't they???

Most common is that you lost your defrost. Amana bottom freezers had trouble with their defrost bimetals, also called a defrost terminator.

Odds are since it is a bottom freezer you haven't kneeled down to floor level and looked at the evaporator cover on the back wall which is likely all covered with ice. Sometimes people don't notice because it is white frost on a white panel.

Also with some brands of bottom freezer the doors don't close well then it ices up and stops working for a while. But when that happens you usually see frost in everything in the freezer.

That is my best guess with little so info.  Is the fan in the freezer running?
