My friend's baby?

Question

my friend taylor and her boyfriend seth are having there first baby and there twins. they asked me if this was enough stuff to go get for the baby when they go buy stuff.

Gerber Grins and Giggles- baby lotion, motorizing stick, or motorizing cream, baby wash or foam wash, and baby shampoo

Swaddle blankets are a great idea, especially for twins, we found ours would only sleep when swaddled as they had been snuggled up beside eachother for 9 months they seem to miss the closeness.

Wow they got down all the basics and then some.  Changing tables are not needed really.  They just take up room, its easier to change the baby on the couch, bed or floor.  I would do pack'n'plays and not play pens.  That way you can use them as a bassinet when they are born.  That way you dont have to buy bassinets.  Baby food is not needed until they are around 6 months old.  High chairs are not needed until they are older.  My daughter is 6.5 months old and I just feed her in her swing cause she sits straight up.  Just use a head to toe product for bath time that way you dont have to wash the hair with one thing and the body with another.  Walkers are not something to give a baby, especiallly if theres stairs.  Do a travel system that comes with a stroller and car seat, that way you dont need a carrier.  You will only need one bath tub.  Toys and tummy time gyms can wait until about 3 months old when they start playing with them.

I would not worry about some of the stuff on that list. They will save a lot of money and they don't have to worry about it until later.

Diapers, wipes, baby powder, bottles, pacificers, diaper genie, baby monitors, car seats, bouncers, swings, cribs, clothes, 1 bath seat, crib bedding, formula are a definate! I would also get one of those things to scrub the bottles, they can be hard to clean without one! Diaper rash cream! gas drops and infant tylonel! Make sure that when they buy the bottles they get the slow nipples. Also the hospital will give you pacifiers!

the other things like all the other body wash and things you don't need. I agree and get the head to toe, i have it for my daughter and it works amazing! The soothers/teethers you won't need for some time, get one double stroller, you won't need high chairs for a while, its easier to feed in their swing when their that age, i would rather use a pack and play, you can use it for a while before they can actually climb over it, my daughter is a year and a half and she can't do it yet, walkers you don't need for a while, carriers you won't need for a while, changing tables you don't need, they can use anything. Only one bath seat, not too many toys, they won't play with them for a while. I got a bassinet and then had to go and buy a crib, to save money just go for the crib, depending on what their budget is now, dressers yes def!, The baby food you shouldn't need yet!

But if i were you i'd throw a babyshower, i got almost all that from mine. Raising a kid is a lot of money, so do what you can to save! They can also get formula on wic! If they arn't sighned up they should! They save you tons of money! especially  when formula is like $15 a can and a baby can go through that fast! So tell them good luck and i hope that i helped! Also burp cloths!!!!! and nail clippers!
