I cant say it too funny because my pet turtle(whose name was Turtle lol) kinda ran away too!!! But the funny thing about mine was he came back on his own =). I opened the door and he was right there looking up at me lol. Even after he left home (better way of saying ran away) i still let him outside because he really didn't like being in his tank all day.

Sad for your friend. Also if the turtle is not native to your area it is very sad for the turtle and surrounding habitat. The turtle may have trouble finding food if your area is not a natural habitat for it.

i know that this is a long shot but where do you live as there is someone on here that has just found one!!!!

It is sad when anyone loses any type of pet, we had one escape last year and even had to post Lost signs around the neighborhood for it, my daughter was very upset.
