  1. scam scam scam scam..

    What does the contract say?

  2. First of all--there are not any modeling agencies that do contracts online...period.  An agency will not offer you a contract without seeing you in person.  If they are interested they will have you fly out-you pay.  You will then if accepted be reimbursed/compensated if a contract is made, and you get work.

It's a scam, she doesn't have to pay.  PERIOD.

  3. your friend is an idiot for believing that 'modeling' nonsense...why are people so naive...?  obviously its a scam...nevertheless, if she didnt sign anything i doubt its binding...wouldnt be in the states

  4. its probably a scam

  5. A signed contract is legally binding. Did she sign it or just agree to it?

  6. How old is your friend? Is she underage? If she is, then no.

Personally, I think this is scam and she shouldn't pay. However, if she is really concerned about it, the only person that can help her is a lawyer.

  7. If it's online, I doubt she signed anything.  How old is she? What information did she give?  All they can do is pressure her into paying, It doesn't seem likely that they have a legal claim to her money.  Try ignoring them for a while and if that doesn't work, get a lawyer and tell them you'll take them to court if necessary.

  8. Well yes she does have to agree to it if she hit yes I agree than she is needed to pay. If the site said that she would not have to pay then yes she does not have to pay then she can send them an email saying that and ask to be let out. They can not really tie her down and tell her she cant leave. If they refuse to let her out then you need to ask a friend who is in law to look it over and ask if she has to pay or if there are any loop holes. Is it with explore talent? What site is it?

  9. Your friend was scammed. Legitimate model agencies do not ask models to pay fees in advance for representation. They want her to pay an exhorbitant amount just to put her photos on their web site. Tell her to ignore them, or better yet, report them to the FBI. They investigate Internet fraud, and can notify the Austrian authorities.

  10. Sounds like a scam.

  11. i dk i think she wont unless she gave all her info or they already did it then she probably has to or she can call it off

  12. If she actually signed the contract, then she is obligated to pay the fee, or else the company could take her to court for it.  However, if the contract says nothing about the $300, she would not have to pay.  She should really read contracts thoroughly before she signs anything in the future, and she should also avoid Internet scams.  I've never heard of any top models being discovered through online modeling agencies.

  13. well how much info (personal) did she give??? just say s***w you!!!!!! or run away! thier big scammmers! tv always has these shows on stuff like that.

  14. sorry but that is a scam...NO REAL agency charges you anything..

  15. if she didnt sign anything or give her personal info or creditcard info, shes fine

  16. SCAM.  Whether its here in the US or over there in Austria.  Run like the wind.   Believe me, these idiots will just move on to the next target.

If you haven't paid DO NOT!    Agents only get money when you get work;  they get a percentage of what you make.

In the states its usually 20% for print, which is what models do.

Here is a great website devoted to modeling scams:

    http://www.modelingscams.org/

It tells you what to look out for.

  17. its a scam

see if she can take it to court

  18. Tell her not to pay or do it at all. Over the internet things like that are usually scams.

  19. She has been scammed. Dont pay it or any other fees. They are worried about scamming others not trying to get $$ from your friend. How could they , its internet probably run out of someones basement

  20. If she were really pretty, they would be paying her to model not the other way around

this is a scam, and 10 bucks says you will no longer be able to contact this "agency"

wave bye-bye to those 300 hats.

  21. Because it's a scam.

    She should not pay.

  22. Yes - scam.

She might want to consult a laywer if the company she agreed with is being difficult.

Internet, mall, magazine... it's all a scam.
