We are trying to buy gift cards from resturants to give to families with kids in the hospital. We need money to buy these cards, but we can't think of any good ideas for a sucsessful (and I mean good) fundraiser.

  1. The company I work with helps people set up several low cost or no cost fundraiser programs, and I think we could help you. There's several different options! Our web based fundraiser costs nothing to set up, and you keep 100% of the profit!! Feel free to email me at ds_music_now@yahoo.com and I'll give you all the details!

    Good luck!

    Anthony

  2. www.fundraising.com

www.justfundraising.com are great websites to check out.  Also I am an AVON Rep and do fundraisers with groups all the time.  Its an easy way to make money, I do it all the time and groups make thousands of dollars in a two week time span.  There is a full book or brochure flier option.  If you're interested let me know if not check out the websites and good luck

  3. sponsored......

    race

    run

fast (dont eat for 48 hrs for example)

book-a-thon (how many books can u read in a wk?)

    Or....

    -Car wash

    -bake sale

    -garage sale

    -white elephant sale

-bring a jar into school/work where ppl can put change, even pennies! write a few sentences on a abel so people know what its for.

-guess how many sweets are in the jar. this is where you get a jar say full of smarties. people can pay maybe 50 cent or 50p to guess how mny smarties? If they get it right, they get the jar. if they are wrong, they get one smartie for every guess they had.

-go on google, ther r many gd websites...

asking for donations from people at school or on your street always works best. even wen i have tried for example selling freshly-picked lavender and flowers, most people just wanted to donate. i would STRONGLY reccomend bringing some kind of leaflet or a few photos of the kids in the hospital or sumthing like ht bcuz sum ppl wil just think u may b keeping the money for yourself.

hope this helps, and if o, i wudnt mind 10points for the best answer! hehe, just joking! :)

good luck, and wonderful cause btw! :D

  4. My company has one of the most innovative, fundraising programs that I've ever heard of. First, it is in the travel industry, so right off the bat, you know you have a HUGE target market. Travel is the world's largest industry. $1.3 trillion in the U.S. A. alone. Travel is also a big ticket item and it produces significant fundraising dollars.

Our program is called Passport to Giving. How does it work? The nonprofit organization pays a one time fee of $500 for their travel booking engine. Then with the help of the company, The YTB Travel Network, the nonprofit will let the world know that they have their own travel booking site. When ANYBODY books travel on the nonprofit's site, the nonprofit will receive 60% of those travel commissions.

Imagine the families planning reunions, couple's planning destination weddings, class reunions, group cruises, business travel, conferences that people travel to and more that -- in order to support the nonprofit -- when booked on the nonprofit's website, will earn that organization huge commissions! Travel is a big ticket item, and the good news is that most people don't travel alone. Plus, you can either proactively plan vacations and travel events - AND - you can just ask people to do what they're going to do anyway... on the nonprofit organization's site! Either way, it's a great fundraising idea. Contact me if you need more info about YTB or the Passport to Giving Program
