We don´t want to take the two hour train ride home, so we want to have a room for one night. Any recommendations?

We will be going during the week, not on the weekend!

  1. Well, you didn't really say what your budget is so it's kind of hard to give you a recommendation.

There are hundreds of cheap hotels in the Munich area so I suggest looking at www.hotel.de

On that website you can find and book a cheap hotel in minutes.  It also gives you a map of where the hotel is located.

Or you go the really cheap way and meet some cute guys when you are drunk and "sleep" at their place for the night for free!!!

Enjoy Oktoberfest and let the good times roll!!

  2. HI,

this is difficult. During Oktoberfest most hotels are completely booked months in advance. Even worse on weekends.

If you're quick you can find a cheap hostel here:

    http://www.inside-munich.com/munich-chea...

    Or more expensive hotels here:

But you might have to take the train ride....

  3. Dude, if you don't have a hotel yet you might be looking at the Bahnhof .....

  4. Try the Meininger hotel+hostel and the AO hostel+hotel. Both are relatively close to the main train station. The Meininger is the nicer one IMO.

If the prices for these places during that time shock you, consider http://the-tent.com/ - but then you'll need to bring your own tent, sleeping bag and matress.
