  1. You can get half price tickets at the two booths in Leicester Square. However, you will need to spend a while queuing in advance of the booths opening to get any good seats/ good shows.

Try theatremonkey.com to see any other discount tickets that can be obtained in advance. I have used this many times before and got some great discounts on good seats. The website also shows the seating plans for each venue and has a chart showing the best and good value seats.

If you head to the relevant box office for a particular show on the day, there may be tickets left that they will sell to you but this may be risky if you have a particular show in mind. Of course if expense is not a problem, just buy them now! If you book throughTicketmaster online you can see where the seats are that are offered.

Enjoy whatever show you do see!

  2. You can often buy half price tickets at the kiosk in Leicester Square on the day of. If it's a show you really have your heart set on seeing & it's a limited engagement (in comparison to something like Les Mis that's always running) then you might want to go ahead and buy in advance. Otherwise, you'll probably save by waiting.

If you guys are students you can get awesome discounts at a lot of the theaters. The seats are really decent, too. Not all theaters offer the discounts, but many do. Just call the box office & find out.

My parents live in London & I pop into the theater the day of all the time when I'm there & get half off tickets with my ISIC (International Student ID Card)
