  1. You don't say in which country you live!

In some countries, there are government boarding schools where your parents only have to pay for your boarding fees and not your tuition fees so that keeps your school fees down.

Here, in Australia, you can get the Boarding School Allowance which pays some or all of your school fees if you meet certain criteria.

Also, if you're serious and your parents are on board, going to boarding school overseas can often be cheaper (and may provide a higher standard of education into the bargain!); 'no frills' flights between home and school can keep your expenses down.

  3. Homeschooling is about teaching kids in the loving environment of home and family.

Boarding school is about sending kids to live in institutional school full time.

    They are total opposites.

Please ask your question on a more appropriate forum.

  4. You should probably ask in a different section. While I suppose homeschooling could be seen as a form of boarding school, the students board with their own family at their home.
