My friend and i are going into nyc for the day....?

Question

we live in ct and were fourteen and i go into the city almost every day because of my school so i know the city and the subway system really well. can someone suggest something fun we can do? were planning to be in the city from midmorning to mid afternoon, and its a wednesday so nothing only on weekends. were also gonna b in midtown, probably on or near lexington ave. also keep in mind we are 14 so nothing only adults can do and nothing too expensive. thanks so much!! best answer easily gets 10 points!

With just a couple of hours to spend and not a lot of money, consider going to the Top of the Rock, an observation tower where you can get great views of the city.  Check out this site:

Central Park on a nice day would be free and fun.

Go to the library and get the book "James Dean Died Here".  You can look up NYC and sight-see the spots where TV and movies were filmed.  Places like the diner from Seinfeld, the Ghostbusters Firehouse, etc.  I did it with some friends and we had a blast.

there is a bunch of stuff to do in New York, I haven't been but I've hear of it. Just walk around and find stuff to do!
