Make sure the wines better than what you serve in the holy communion. Jesus christ!

The only thing I would suggest is that you be organized.

Try to keep an inventory of what comes in and what goes out.

Most importantly, what's on hand.

Try to have your minister regularly remind the congregation that donations are greatfully accepted and post times of when it's best for people to bring their donations by.

Also, by doing so, people can be kept informed on what you're low on(canned meat, canned fruit, etc.)  

Also, set up hours of operation- that is, hours when food handouts are happening.

Good luck with your project. It's a very worth while cause.
