My friend asked me a question. I can't figure it out.?

She said.

"If all the animals along the Equator were capable of flattery then Christmas and Halloween would fall on the same day."

I am perplexed by this. My BF said maybe its a hint at the famous line in Blink-182's song "I Miss You" When he sings "We'll have Halloween on Christmas and in this night we'll wish this never ends"

In the UK, when someone makes a similar nonsensical comment, a typical response is "What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?" i.e. They receive an equally nonsensical comment in return.

It's from the movie Ocean's 12.  Danny Ocean (George Clooney) says, "If all the animals on the Equator were capable of flattery, then Thanksgiving and Hallowe'en would fall on the same date."
