My friend discovered myspace?

well i was talking to my friend on the phone today and so i was like "so wats up!!!" and she was like "oh im on myspace" and i was like "YOU have a myspace?" and she was like "ya i made one today" and i was like "oh no ur not gonna get all obesessed over it and be on all day like lacey are you?" (lacey is my bitchy neighbor who will not get off her myspace ugh!!!) "and she was like "too late! ive been on all day!" i cant believe this. i HATE myspace. its not only that its not safe but its way too addictive. and i dont want to lose my friend over a website. i just dont want her to get overobsessed. and shes gonna get all weird at me if i tell her that its not safe. i dont know if her mom even knows about this. all i know is i dont like this at all. and the picture that she put on there isnt even her. some s**t. ugh. so what can i do? anyone know some new addicting site that she wont be able to get off of that may contradict this? please help. oh btw sorry if i offended any of you myspace users.

lol..i love myspace! dont worry she wont be addicted that long... she'll get bored once the time comes...i used to get addicted too... but now... i just log in like an hour per day.... thats it... myspace is fun because u could meet new people... you just have to be careful.... anyway... ask your friend to add me up....

Man.. you would hate World of Warcraft if you can't stand MySpace.  That said, your friend will hopefully realize that it's super boring once 100 guys have sent your friend crude messages in the span of 5 minutes.

The key thing about these social networking sites is that the hook is finding all these people you know on them.. and once you've found all of those people it's pointless.  Well, it's really quite pointless to begin with because if you really enjoyed those friends you'd have kept track via some other means other than MySpace ;)

If she doesn't give it up just tell her that she's chosen an internet site ridden with morons and pedophiles over you and you're off to find people who want to know you face to face and not pixel to pixel.
