My friend has a baby boy (18 mo. old) and she doesn't really leave the house, so every month or couple of months, i drive 70 miles to visit her, even though i can't really afford the gas for my car! So i told her she should come visit me and we can take her baby to the zoo, how fun, right?

Well then she contacts me and tells me that her mom is taking the week off from work and shes gonna take her and the baby to the zoo, up by my house, even though there is one where she lives...

So now im kinda irked. My friend has asked me if i would meet them at the zoo and the whole while I'm thinking, she's not coming up here to see me, she's coming up here to go to the zoo. I'm kind of irritated. Am I making a big deal out of nothing?

  1. Well what it sounds like to me is that if it wasn't for her mom going she wouldn't be able to go.  traveling with a baby at that age is a task.  Especially by yourself and going to someones house who doesn't have kids (i'm assuming) is even harder. So she probably talked her mom into going to that zoo so she could spend time with you while she had some help from mom.  I would talk to her and just understand that while you guys are still friends you both lead different life's.  And what may sound easy for you is a chore for her.

  2. yes i think you are at least she is trying to see you i mean come on she could have had this planned way in advance. chill out and go see her.
