  1. Tell her how fun things are, start with going to other indoor places.

  2. My friend was the same way.  Her life changed when I finally got her to trust me and take her places.  She lived less than 2 miles from the Mall and had never been there.  She had no idea what was around in her own neighborhood.  Here father had died just before I met her and she was severely depressed.  I didn't push her at first, but after two or three months of my making all the efforts when we got together by going to her house I finally told her that I would come over one last timed if she promised me to come to my house next time and that she wasn't being a fair friend to me.  She agreed.  We were both 15 at the time and lived approximately 8 miles apart from one another.  We met at a resort on vacation and became friends there.  I had no idea she was such a recluse at home.  Anyway, we went to movies, to the mall, took walks went to the zoo, we did all kinds of things that I had taken for granted.  But, she was doing them for the first time.  It was crazy.  We are both nearly 50 years old now and still the best of friends.  We live farther apart now as I live in the midwest and she is on the East coast.  We always talk about how glad we are that she finally got out of her house.  She says our friendship changed her life and I am proud to be the one who helped her get involved in life.

  3. tell bout the different kinds of fun stuff their is to do. persuade her to do something!

  4. Why not try asking her to do something that she likes? Maybe she would be more apt to get out of the house if you were doing something that she enjoyed. If she likes movies, ask her to go to the movies with you. If she likes to shop take her to the mall. Do something that appeals to her interests - this way it will help get her out of the house more.

Maybe she is just shy or unhappy with her appearance. I know that when I was younger I hated the way I looked so I didn't like to go out a lot. Maybe you could give her a makeover - do her hair, makeup, etc. If she has more confidence she might get out of the house more...
