  1. It will take a while, but yes, they will grow back.

  2. they will grow back but i wouldn't let the budgie out of the cage until they do as it will not be able to fly too well.  karen

  3. Don't worry they'll grow back and your budgie will be a better flier. And clipping wings is recomended you should go to a petstore though.

  4. They will grow back in a few months. feed a high quality diet and fresh veggies and they will grow back as good as new! Good for you not to have them clipped! :)

  5. yes they will grow back quickly. know however that the budgie will feel a wee bit more independant with its new wings and will need to get out and fly... so make sure ou have a completely safe rooms with shades pulled on windows, they fly into windows and mirrors sometimes and hurt themselves.... nothing they can hide under than you cant get them out from underneath (like a couch or a bed or behind a tv!) and no open toilets... and your good to go! when i first got birds i intended t let their wings grow but i quickly decided that i liked them better clipped.

  6. yes

  7. Yes, they will grow back. Bird's feathers are the same as humans hair or fingernails, and don't those grow back?

I know that you aren't very thrilled that the wings are clipped, but trust me, it is a good thing that they are! Because they are clipped, it means that they can't fly very far. This will help prevent them from getting injured, lost, or too independent and headstrong. If the bird can fly all the time, then they are soon going to learn that whenever they don't like something that they can just fly away, and if they need something they can fly to get it.

Clipping a birds wings doesn't hurt them. It's nothing like the inhumane cat declaw process. Like I said, it's like getting a haircut or trimming your fingernails. They will grow back!!!

I have had several birds myself and I always make sure to clip their wings when they get too long. One time I let one of my birds' wings grow back out, and when They got too long he began to injure himself when he flew.

    Hope this helped!

  8. It was actually a good thing his wings were clipped! Wings that are too long can get stuck in between cage bars, and it can be very unhealthy for a bird to have too long of wings. it's almost like having overgrown fingernails. you can let them grow back but just dont let them grow too long!
