My friend gets bullied, what should i do?

Today, as me and my friend where walking out of our tutor/form, these two girls walked past my friend and pushed her into a box. My friend pushed back, but the girl's mate started punching her and so did the girl. They walked away after a few seconds but apparently it's been going on a while. I really care about her and she won't do anthing about it.

As her best friend, i feel it's me who has to tell someone. I can't watch this anymore.

Then you need to tell someone, school counselor or something. They will keep doing this because she allows it. She isn't defending herself. She needs to tell her parents and the school. She should not have to be worrying about this type of c**p and as a parent myself, I would do everything to inform the school. It doesn't make her weak telling, it makes her smart. She needs to put a stop to this, if she won't then you need to, even if she gets mad at you. Bottom line, she has to stand up for herself or they won't stop.
