If your friend is a celebrity, only 30 days. If not, they are looking at 10 years. In my opinion, 100 years is not long enough. Ecstacy is dangerous and will destroy your kidneys.

In California, absent an actual sale, he was probably charged with possession for sale. This would be based on the number of pills he had. If he had any "pay owe slips" that should he was selling this will help in his prosecution. First time offense in California he may actually get probation. If he has a record he may be looking at a few years.
