Since there is really no modern day actors that can sing, dance and act at the same time, I chose mostly broadway stars who know what they're doing. Next to each of their names I put videos of them so if you dont know them you can see them.

Tony: Daniel Reichard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ALAHoz7n_A&feature=related

Maria: Natalie Cortez http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PU1kqN0o20

Riff: Max Crumm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvcFMoo9RD4

Anita: Tia Carrera

Bernardo: Mario Lopez http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-FR3TbTil0

Lt. Schrank: Kevin Spacey

Officer Krupke: George Wendt

Doc: Tony Danza

Action: Matthew Saldivar (hes Kenickie, the lead singer in the vid) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3HTklgxUQ0

A-Rab: Cody Green http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZhsjgBIQNA

Baby John: Michael Longoria http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiqCwLlqyHM

Snowboy: Keven Quillon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Shuq2RTqURw

Diesel: Nick Adams http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIV2ZzcUKb4

Chino: Wilson Jermaine Hederia (played Angel Dumott Schunard in Rent the movie)

DO NOT TELL ME IF YOU WANT IT REMADE OR NOT JUST TELL ME IF YOU LIKE THE CAST!

  1. I don't see a question

  2. Hmmm. Here's modern adaptation for you:

  3. I don't see the question either...but if you are asking whether it should be remade, I would have to say no.  It wasn't that great to begin with.

  4. No, your "friend" sounds like a moron.  Tony Danza as Doc, who's in his 70s?  Mario Lopez in any role that requires acting (wait, that applies to Danza as well)? Wasting Kevin Spacey in a p**s-ant role like that? Tia Carrere is not identifiably Hispanic, not a lyric soprano, and is about 20 years too old for the part.

Your "friend" needs to stay in school and become an accountant.

  5. hmmm....I personally like the original broadway cast the best, and I've only got a problem w/ Tony Danza. He doesn't seem grandfatherly enough, and since Doc doesn't really sing, you could just bring in an old grandfatherly type (maybe richard attenborough??) to play doc (w/ a christopher walken dub of course, an englishman in the middle of the west side would be outta place :D)

You did a great job w/ Chino btw, that's a great choice :)
