My friend has a rare kind of blood cancer...?

..he needs a bone marrow transplant but he is short of 40 lacs for the treatment.

Is there any organisation/s that helps with money problems in such situations? Anything that you know will be very useful.

Btw, he needs to fly to Australia for the treatment as India does not have one.

A blog has been set up to raise money and to alert all our ex-graduate pals and friends so that we could raise money for him. His diagnosis report and such are in the blog so that people won't take this as bogus.

Try contacting this organization.  Although based in the United States they have a special program to help children in India with cancer.  If your friend can't get help here, perhaps they can put him in touch with another organization.
