She has a 1991 Ford Explorer that just stalled out. It has gas, and it will turn over, but it wont start. Any ideas as to what may be wrong with it. She is waiting for me to call her back with an answer

  1. If you have fuel in the tank then it must be a fuel line or the fuel pump.  Your starter is working and your battery isn't dead because it's turning over.  Good luck.

  2. the spark plugs are not firing or its out of time

  3. did they just get gas? Did it stall while they were driving or at a stop?

  4. ask her if the gas is reaching the motor, it might be a plugged gas filter. also make sure it is getting spark at the plugs, if not, then it might be the module.

  5. If it's a manual tranmission, try bump starting it. Which basically means put it facing down a hill, put it in first with the clutch down, put the ignition on and let off the handbrake, once you are doing a moderate speed release the clutch and it should start. If this doesn't help, and you actually survive trying to stop with no brake servo's, then it's a fuel line/fuel pump/spark plug problem. Take it to a mechanic

  6. probably bad fuel pump or distributor cap might be loose also might not be getting fire.

  7. the fuel pump quite or you blew a timing belt

  8. It has fuel in the tank, or it is getting fuel? First guess would be fuel pump went out
