she sleep at home but in the baby car seat is that bad for a new baby

if it was in a car it is ok and if the baby was asleep in the car seat it would be ok but dont do it all the time only if she just got home and dosent wanna wake the baby up nut i am preety sure it is not good but you shouldnt let it do it alot it will make the baby uncomfortable

I would say that it is only ok if the baby has reflux or something similar because the doctor recommended it when my daughter was a baby. I personally don't think it is the best for them.

She should get a sleep positioner. They sell them at babies r us and other stores. A lot safer.

Both my sons slept in their car seats never had a problem.

It is not very good for the back.  Even though it is convenient for the parents the baby should be laying flat on a firm mattress.  Since it is a friend and not your baby then you probably don't have much say on what they do but you can kindly mention that you read.... blah blah blah ...and see what they say.  Good luck.

yes its wrong and it doesn''t give the baby room to stretch are move around and on top of that it child neglect and the baby head will start to flat-inn in the back ....

that can damage a babies spine. Car seats are for cars. thats it. they should not be used as a bed. ever

Yes, it can cause damage with muscle development sometimes but sometimes it is necessary (for cases of severe reflux).  Is there a reason your friends baby is only sleeping in a carseat and not in a bed?

I guess if she has reflux issue that would be a way to help her... I wouldn't recommend her sleeping like that all the time.  But then I'm a bit fanatic when it comes to my daughter being in the same position ie car seat, bouncer, swing for to long.

I don't want to scare anybody, but i read an article about babies(newborn to one month) who were dieing in car seats if left in them for more then 90 minutes.  No one likes to hear a baby cry, but don't let the baby sleep in a car seat.  good luck
