My friend hit his head like a week ago and hit his head two more times not long after, passing out one of those times. He couldn't get to his doctor to get checked out after this.

The headache hasn't gone away and then he got really sick. I origionally thought he might have post concussion syndrome but i dont know. He can't get to his doctor to even get checked out. The last time he checked his temperature it was 109.

He says his head hurts, his face is really hot and his body's really cold and weak, plus he has a high fever. Not only that but he's been through a lot of stress lately.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong? He can't even get checked out by his doctor because nobody will take him. I'm really worried and don't know what he should do to get better...

help plz??

  1. give him maybe some sort of head ache medicine? and stay with him. or atleast on the phone with him. have him take a very cold shower and to stay as cool as he can be. like eating ice cream or popsicles? if hes going outside or anything make sure his hair isnt cold or he might become freezing. if he becomes to cold. make sure he gets warm like tons of blankets and stuff. and if he passes out or anything call a ambulance. thats a number 1 way of getting to the hospital.

  2. He probly has a concussion and needs to be seen at the er or some other urgent care facility.

  3. I wouldn't try to treat this yourself; it sounds way to serious. If he can't get to the doctor, call an ambulance to take him to the hospital. I'm serious. If no one can take him to the hospital, I would have no problem calling 911 and getting an ambulance to take him.

  4. I'm amazed he didn't die when his temperature reached 109.  HE NEEDS TO GO TO THE DOCTOR! It is 100% illegal to deny someone treatment.  Have him call 911 and tell him to sit in an ice bath until an ambulance arrives.

yes, you can die from a fever.  A temperature above 106 will cause brain death.

It sounds like there was damage to his hypothalamus, which regulates body temperature.
